Nicky, can I use you for a cribsheet / pony / foreign language instructor?
I can't make out what Todd says in the fourth episode right at 8 minutes, in the pub after Todd hangs up and Karl says, 'Aw, sweet!' Todd says something like 'make a deal of it' And Karl in reply says, 'I like pasta. Doesn't mean I eat it every day'!!! What was that in response to?
(You can tell I am starting to get fixated on this story when I don't want to miss even one line)
Heehee... so I'm responsible for starting another obsession am I Andrew?

You never know, we may have ourselves a little sub-forum going on Bettermost soon!
I hope I've got the right line here, but Todd's line inbetween those you mention is " 'Appen well I do love her" (I think, though the beginning of the line is hard to make out). The word 'appen (an abreviation of 'happen') is used a lot in the north of England, but not as you'd normally use the word 'happen' - more as an emphasis on what follows, e.g. " 'appen I'd like a cup of tea now" means the same as "I'd
really like a cup of tea now". Todd's obviously embarassed about telling Sarah he loves her in front of Karl & is justifying himself.
Then again, I'm a lanky southerner, so any proper Mancunians feel free to shoot me down like a dog on that one...
