They forget that your first decade starts right after zero years old.

That's right, birth to age 10 is your first decade.

I didn't hear about it either. Was it an injury while she was performing?

All I've heard so far is that she developed what they're calling "a serious bacterial infection."

If I get one more message about this......

I guess this is what happens when everyone knows who your favorite performer is.  When something happens, everyone sends a text or message on FB.

I've heard what Jeff posted, she had a serious bacterial infection.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

After work this afternoon I turned on the radio just in time to catch "Material Girl," my favorite of all Madonna's tunes.

And the video for it will always be my favorite for all time.

I wish her a speedy recovery.

Me too, because I'm still catching up with old David Crosby and Jeff Beck songs. Sorry and just kidding! I like Madonna an average amount and hope she's well soon. She's also about my age, so any health scare feels especially eerie.

Speaking of Madge, how's she doing? I haven't heard anything lately.

Anyway, heard this on noon news:

In September the Eagles will launch their final tour--52 years after the band first formed.

I feel old. ...

The opening act will be Steely Dan.

Rosie O'Donnell has posted that she's doing well, but other than that, I haven't heard.

They're playing together here, too. I had to stop and google which Steely Dan was the singer. Donald Fagen. So even without Walter Becker, with Fagen singing the songs should sound more or less like they always did.

Madonna says she's "on the road to recovery" and will reschedule tour after sudden stint in ICU

By Li Cohen - JULY 10, 2023

Madonna says she's "on the road to recovery" less than two weeks after her manager announced she had been sent to the ICU after developing a "serious bacterial infection." The singer was hospitalized for several days just before the start of her upcoming Celebration Tour.

In a statement, Madonna said that she is "incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life."

"My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children," the 64-year-old singer said along with a selife. "My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn't want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone."

In her first post on Twitter since being hospitalized, Madonna said that she is now focused on improving her health and "getting stronger."

Tony Bennet Dies at 96

Anthony Dominick Benedetto (August 3, 1926 ? July 21, 2023), known professionally as Tony Bennett, was an American singer. Bennett amassed many accolades, including 20 Grammy Awards, a Lifetime Achievement Award, and two Primetime Emmy Awards. He was named an NEA Jazz Master and a Kennedy Center Honoree and founded the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Astoria, Queens, New York.  He sold more than 50 million records worldwide and earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Bennett began singing at an early age. He fought in the final stages of World War II as a U.S. Army infantryman in the European Theater. Afterward, he developed his singing technique, signed with Columbia Records and had his first number-one popular song with "Because of You" in 1951. Several popular tracks such as "Rags to Riches" followed in early 1953. He then refined his approach to encompass jazz singing. He reached an artistic peak in the late 1950s with albums such as The Beat of My Heart and Basie Swings, Bennett Sings. In 1962, Bennett recorded his signature song, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco". His career and personal life experienced an extended downturn during the height of the rock music era. Bennett staged a comeback in the late 1980s and 1990s, putting out gold record albums again and expanding his reach to the MTV generation while keeping his musical style intact. Throughout his lifetime, he sang several duets and organized concerts with many acclaimed American and foreign singers, including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Connie Francis, Vicente Fern?ndez, Elena Zagorskaya, Lady Gaga, and Amy Winehouse.
