Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!

Hope everyone is doing well!
The competitions are over, and tomorrow (Sunday) is an exhibition for some of the higher ranking competitors.
It was a pretty successful Championships for the US skaters.
Men US finishes - Ilia Malinin 1st, Jason Brown 9th, Andrew Torgashev 22nd
Women US finishes - Alysa Liu 1st, Isabeau Levito 4th, Amber Glenn 5th
Ice Dance finishes - Chock & Bates 1st, Carriera & Ponomarenko 5th, Green & Parsons 9th
Pairs team finishes - Efimova & Mitrofanov 6th, Kam & O'Shea 7th.
So we won gold in the men, women and ice dance disciplines. Pairs was the only event we didn't medal in.
However, besides the medals, the placements are very important this year.
For each discipline, the top two finishers of any country gets their scores added up. If they total less than 13, that means that country can send 3 entries for that discipline to next year's competitions.
For the US women, for example, the two top US women finished 1st and 4th. 1+4=5, which is less than 13, so next year we can send three women to the competitions next year. So the US can send three entries for each discipline. This is important because next year is an Olympic year, so we earned extra berths to the Olympics because of the skaters' finishes.
