This features the beautiful Pascale Buissière, one of Canada's best actors .  She was also in When Night is Falling and The Five Senses.

From an IMDb User:  I watched this movie wondering if I wasn't watching a sort of Seinfeldian version of movie-making - that is, "a show about nothing."

It dawned on me after watching this movie that this is basically what I saw - a big bunch of nothingness. And yet the story was beautiful and disturbing and depressing and inspiring, and ultimately poetic... I guess that's what they mean by "atmospheric" as used in describing a film.

The cinematography was superb - the part where the two lead characters ended up in the Utah salt desert was just so awesome. The acting was seamless, though I was handicapped by seeing it with English subtitles: since I don't know French, I fear that a good bit of the emotive force of the story, as told through the dialogue, was lost on me.

Anyway, I am so glad I taped this off of late night Canadian television, I definitely plan to watch it again. It's a movie you not so much "look" at, but "feel". Watch it, feel it... you'll see.

Lots of folks on IMDb loved this, a few thought it was predictable and dull. I haven't seen it. Directed by Louis Malle, it came out the year before his death. I'd be interested in others comments if they have seen it.

Yobi, the Five Tailed Fox is a 2007 animated Korean film from Lee Seong-gang, the director of My Beautiful Girl, Mari. The film loosely draws upon the Korean folk tales of the kumiho.

Modified to replace Yi Yi, which was played in the 2000 round.

[...]
In 2002, the film was selected by the British film magazine Sight and Sound as one of the ten greatest films of the past twenty-five years, among Apocalypse Now. Raging Bull, Fanny and Alexander, GoodFellas, Blue Velvet, Do the Right Thing, Blade Runner, Chungking Express, Distant Voices, Still Lives, and Once Upon a Time in America.

Distant Voices, Still Lives probably IS my all time favourite film and it's STILL not available on DVD in North America.

Edit:   I just want to say that the Numerology Round was really fun! I really enjoyed it, thanks!  ;D
