"Y" is ¥ou're So Cupid (2010)
« Reply #6090 on: September 18, 2010, 04:31:06 pm »

Plot summary:  Fraternal twin sisters Emma and Lilly are as different as night and day. Emma, the beautiful blonde tomboy, would rather be riding a horse than anything else in the world. While Lilly, her shy red-headed twin, loves to be left alone to curl up with a good book. Inseparable since the day they were born, Emma and Lilly have an insatiable desire to play matchmake, even though they've never fallen in love themselves. Emma and Lilly find out their matchmaking skills are not just a gift from heaven, but rather because their father is actually Cupid (yes the guy who shoots bows and arrows). As they enter their senior year in high school, Emma and Lilly finally fall in love. Life gets complicated when they discover they're in love with the same guy, and they become bitter rivals as they try to win his affection. Sisterhood and matchmaking are tossed out the window like last year's shoes as Emma and Lilly plot to sabotage each other so they can win the heart of their dream guy. The sisters, who once were inseparable, now spend every waking moment planning each other's demise. Meanwhile, their parents are falling out of love. Can Emma and Lily overcome their problems and use their matchmaking skills to bring their parents back together?

"A" is Angels' Brigade (1979)
« Reply #6093 on: September 19, 2010, 10:23:53 am »

From IMDB:
Meet six women and a teenage girl who never expected to risk their lives fighting for justice. A schoolteacher had seen one too many kids succumb to drugs. A Las Vegas entertainer learned her brother had been beaten by a drug pusher. A martial arts teacher knew how insidious drugs were among children. A top model knew that drugs were destroying her life. A stunt driver was in shock when her brother overdosed - on drugs! Add a nosy schoolgirl and a policewoman with a perm, and you've got the Angels Brigade. These women (and the girl, too) are sexy, smart - and dangerous! Just ask the right-wing militia these ladies have destroyed. But the evil fat cats pushing drugs to kids? Not even they are a match for these vengeful vixens. They just say POW! to drug pushers

"C" is The Cat in the Hat (2003)
« Reply #6095 on: September 19, 2010, 11:23:42 am »

Plot: Mike Myers stars in the title role as the mischievous feline with the red-and-white striped magical stovepipe hat, a film adaptation of the beloved Dr. Seuss book, `The Cat in the Hat'. The Cat stirs up mischief wherever he goes, especially for Conrad and Sally Walden, (Spencer Breslin and Dakota Fanning) two children who are home alone with their pet fish. With nothing to do, Conrad begins to mess-up the house by riding a board down the stairs. Their single mom (Kelly Preston) is having the company party that night, and the house must be neat and clean or her germ-o-phobic boss will fire her. She orders the children not to take one step into the living room. Of course, when the Cat arrives, he is part of a wrecking crew that destroys the house.

(This would have been better in the last round!)

"G" is Gummo (1997)
« Reply #6099 on: September 21, 2010, 04:23:27 pm »

Constructing this film through random scenes, director Harmony Korine abruptly jettisoned any sort of narrative plot, so here we go: Solomon and Tummler are two bored teenage boys who live in Xenia, Ohio. A few years ago, a tornado swept through it, destroying more than half the town and killing the same amount, including Solomon's father. The film, from there, chronicles the anti-social adventures these two boys have. These include sniffing glue, killing cats, having sex, riding dirtbikes, listening to black metal, and meeting a cavalcade of quirky, bizarre, and scary people. These include a man who pimps his mentally ill wife to our anti-heroes, three sisters who play with their cat and practice becoming strippers, a black midget fending off the sexual advances of a troubled man (played by the director Harmony Korine), a 12-year-old gay transvestite who is also a cat killer, Solomon's mother who seems to be the only glimpse of sanity, two foul-mouthed six-year olds, and most importantly, a nymphlike skateboarder who walks around town wearing pink rabbit ears.
