I'm kind of gld that it was a non elimination leg.  I like the brothers, although they make so many mistakes all the time, it's a mystery that they are still around.  I like all the teams in fact.  Well, exept for Jaime and Cara, of course.  Luke is turning out to be a pretty useless mama's boy, isn't he?  Crying when his mommy faints, stupidly not doing roadblocks where the sense of hearing is not required.

I  don't know about you guys but I wouldn't let my stuff out of my sight, especially, passports and money!  I'm always amazed at how cavalier some teams are in that respect.  I mean, leaving important documents sitting on a dock?! They were very lucky that it was still there.

Next week DOES look good!  Hissy fits galore!

I know!! Even thought they wouldn't have seen TAR 13 - and hence the lost passport scenario - as they were racing while it was being aired and were probably home before the russia episodes were on TV - this is pretty basic! Don't leave your stuff. If they ah done ANY research at all they would have known that Ken & Gerard had their stuff stolen while in Oxford cos they left it sitting at the side of the road.

Sometimes you'll see them with no bags and they're is a designated area for their packs but unless its there be willing to lose your stuff if you leave it lying and never ever leave your race pack with clues and passports in it! GHA!

Yeah, that last episode was really good. I was soooo happy to see Margie and Luke come in first. I'd really like to see them win the race. It looks like Luke will be popping off on Jen next week! LOL And Jen will be popping back at him. That kind of surprises me though because both of them seem so nice. In the previews it looks like it starts off when Jen calls Luke a bitch. ::)

I also think the brothers will catch up next week. They are a strong team.

but they keep breaking the rules and getting into trouble!

Yes they do, don't they? But like Kelda, I wasn't aware they couldn't use their personal items for payment. I've seen them do it several times in previous seasons. So I was really surprised when Phil gave them two 2 hour penalties.

I like the brothers, but I really do hope Margie and Luke win. I like them very much.

I didn't like watching it alone either. It wasn't nearly as much fun. :(

There's quite a debate on tarflies about the whole M&M penalty...

the conclusion is..

When teams barter with their own goods, they are essentially bringing the very funds and resources that they were not allowed to bring with them - one of the greatest of challenges on the race is to make do without the social contacts you've developed, without the finances you've earned, and without the technology which you have familiarized yourself. You could ask yourself: What if Mark & Michael had paid the cab driver with money they brought with them? Ultimately, paying for services with goods you've brought with you is no different. (And it would be an unfair advantage if a richer team could bring a rolex as a watch rather than say a timex watch)

Last year, when Team Superbad, tried (but failed to) barter with their shoes, they were shoes they had bought with race money.

We think it must be a new-ish rule because there is no way Uchenna would have been willing to barter his watch at the finish line in S7 if he knew he'd get a 2 hour penalty.

That helps explain things. And I can see their point. But it also makes me wonder, given this no barter rule - what teams should do if for some reason the cannot pay the cab fare through no fault of their own, such as the cab getting stuck in heavy traffic and the fare increasing much higher than it normally would. Failing to pay a cab fare is essentially stealing, and theft can often carry very severe penalties in some countries. :-\

PLeas with them until they let you off? Its a bit of a wierd zone isn;t it - I personally would rather give them something of mine than leave them out of pocket. Particularly in areas where they aren't as well off.

I think Mama and Baby Bear got a little over zealous tonight and thought Keish and Jen were playing up to them because of Luke being deaf - I can understand why she got into Momma mode as she was angry but Keisha and Jen were not being mean to him becasue of his deafness. And he did push her first.. see what the tension will do to you, eh!?!

Yes, they were at the tipping point already, and those smirks set them off. And I really do think it was JEN who started it. She attacked Luke at the clue box... both times. >:(

In my opinion. ;)
