I don't know about anyone else, but I am officially naughty enough now to fill in the blanks myself!  ;)

 OMG, that's hilarious, Fran - and so true!  Who'd a thunk it?

well, I'm not doing away with a lot of the explicit scenes lightly... it mainly has to do with maintaining the tone of the story, and I find that the tone changes a lot when there is an intimate scene, which works well sometimes but doesn't work as well when it"s more frequent!

at least that is how it feels to me.

Yes, I can see that, Louise -  I understand what you're saying.  :)

SPOILERS

Nice seeing everyone playing nice with each other! Now we can make some real progress. The problem in dealing with a bunch of lying snakes is that they're all ........lying snakes  - who'd sell their own mother out if they had the chance.  It'll be interesting to see what Leon has to say now!  Great job, Louise!

you may all be interested to know, as I explained in chat with Leslie...

that I haven't got the slightest idea what's going on!

That's not a problem Louise. Just as long as it takes lots and lots and lots of chapters to find out!  :)  :)

As if that would discourage me from reading!! I'm sure Ellery will be happy to let you know what's up-there's no way he could keep his mouth shut for long!

as soon as Ellery figures it out he is bound to start talking about it, I am sure!  In the meantime he might need to relax at home with some Clint Eastwood movies and his and Colson's favorite pastime, which is NOT baking biscuits.

SPOILER

Uh Oh - dizziness is not a good thing.  But it did get Ellery to the doctor tout de suite, so maybe he needed that physical manifestation of his high blood pressure in order for him to take it as seriously as he needs to.  And our newly promoted Detective Sweet Thing will get a chance to do some of that investigating that he's so good at.  Daddy Grey will be home soon and I'm betting a nice brisk walk is in Ellery's very near future.

I'm having a great time with this story, Louise!  Thanks.
