I really think that putting flowers on the grave on his birthday is a wonderful, wonderful idea  :). If possible I could think of doing that every year......not much and not expensive, just to show that he and what he did and BBM aren't forgotten.....

Ennis
Your folks just stopped at Ennis?
Del Mar
Nice to know ya Ennis Del Mar.

And so with that introduction Jack and Ennis are forever bound together like Adam & Eve and Romeo & Juliet.

Peachy, I felt so sad to read that you were distressed by this happening! Don't you worry about this, OK! You did so much for us!  :-*

We can always send the flowers to the cemetery anyway, right? Does it matter if the flowers arrive later? Could we have flowers delivered there on his birthday, for instance? Or is that unappropriate?

I think that's a wonderful idea, Melissa.  Would be lovely to place flowers on his grave every birthday, too.  :)   :'(

I totally agee that this is a fantastic idea!!! I also think Melissa's idea about flowers for his birthday is also great. I would go along with both of these ideas for sure.

We've been looking for a suitable charity to donate  our left-over funds to. I wonder if we may have already found it. Perhaps the funds we've collected could be held in a special account to cover flowers for Heath's grave each birthday in future? Maybe we could also send a pretty little posy to Matilda on each of her birthdays in future, too. The K$1 we've collected would cover the cost for at least 5 years. Perhaps a special thread could be opened for this, allowing people to donate on an on-going basis, so we'll always have sufficient funds, way into the future.

Okay, I got a poll up about where to donate the funds.  We've got twelve options at present, so I've asked everyone to choose three.  Once we have three, we can have a final vote.  S'alright?  :)

Poll is here: http://bettermost.net/forum/index.php/topic,17229.msg332913.html#msg332913

I voted for three items:

Acting programs for kids in Australia
Acting programs for kids in Brooklyn
Ongoing flower fund for Heath's resting place

I agree whatever the voters choose at the end.

Thank you for the good options, Meryl!

I voted too and like John said, I'll be happy with whatever we choose. Everything on the list was a good choice.

Thanks for all your hard work, Meryl.
