Did you know that 'Keith Fletcher' was the name he was signed in under when he stayed with the rest of the crew in the Red Coat Inn Motel in Fort Macleod?
I read that on findingbrokeback.

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten that.

This may be totally out of line, but please bear with me if so. It's been a strange, long week....

Now Katherine (Ineedcrayons) has as her sig line: "....if the coffee pot is true, so is the other."

While reading the latest discussion here about that disgusting 2006 video trying to make Heath incriminate himself, and about all the speculation in the media concerning possible use of hard drugs, etc....  I happened to read the sig line and my brain was evidently still very coloured by the drugs discussion: I honestly did a double-take, eyes wide, when for one split second I read the sig as

"....if the pot is true, so is the other."

 :o  ::)

I had to re-read to realize the missing word was actually there.  :-X

Boy, you brought back a memory that I haven't thought of for years and years.

My grandmother taught piano. And she tried to teach me piano, for a very long time, until she gave up and realized it was hopeless. She was always amazed that I learned to type.

Anyway, she said it as Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge and I always said, "Why is it only the boys who get the fudge?" LOL

Thanks for helping me remember, Kelly...

When I went to school (waaaaay back in the 1820s!!!), we were taught Every Good Boy Deserves FRUIT - probably referring to the boys who inhabited the music room with me in those days!!!  ;)  :laugh:

Yes, that was what I was remembering. Sorry for not being clearer, Kelly. It's the type of thread that I think you could spice up with a little bit of your own special brand of humor. LOL....

Thanks for the invitation, but I'm going to have to take a pass.  I can't hardly keep up with the threads I've started or posted in.  It's taken me a week to get back to this one!  I'm a dipper though.

Why does that make me think of "Hee Haw," where Buck Owens was a pickin' and Roy Clark was a grinnin'?  I'm a dippin'!  And I'm a squirtin'!

I'm so dumb.  At first I thought you were speaking to me, and I was like, "Well, let me get you a map, darlin'."

I'm tickled that this thread got such a positive reaction.  You're welcome for my original post, and thank you for continuing the fun, caring and sharing and such.  To quote another Steel Magnolia, "Things were gettin' entirely too serious for a moment.  We needed to laugh."
