Aren't those set in Wales?
I've read many of them, and I seem to remember Wales being mentioned a lot.
Brother Cadfael is a resident of the Benedictine Abbey of St. Peter and St. Paul on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, in Shropshire. Shropshire is on the border of Wales, and Brother Cadfael is himself Welsh. Wales does get mentioned a lot,
