Worst of all:  What if this movie had never been made?   :o   :o   :o

No, to my mind this is the worst: What if this movie had been made ... but there were no internet message boards and we all had to deal with our reactions on our own?!?  :o

Considering the turmoil I've gone through these past few months, and everything I've gotten from these boards, I think I'd rather not have seen the movie at all, than see it but not be able to discuss it!!

What if Diana Ossana hadn't read the short story in the New Yorker?

Amen to that!  What on earth would we have done???  Maybe we would have gone the way of the Trekkies, they did not have the internet way back in the day.... We might have ended up being parodied on SNL!

What if Ennis and Jack had just one more night together alone after their summer on Brokeback, and not run off into the day as if nothing had happened?

What if Ennis had been able to say anything to Jack - anything at all - up on that mountain before they went down?

What if Ennis could have loved Jack more than he hated himself?

What if I could have been there to talk it through with our boys?

"Vice, Virtue. It's best not to be too moral. You cheat yourself out of too much life. Aim above morality. If you apply that to life, then you're bound to live life fully." (Harold & Maude - 1971)

Celeste, I love this:

And therein lies the rub.

What if Ennis had never seen Earl dead in a ditch as a result of a homophobic killing?
