I liked it but it wasn't as good as CASINO ROYALE.  I mean the Bond girl wasn't nearly as good as Eva Green and the "what's at stake if he fails" wasn't thinking "big" so to speak.
I still loved all the international scenary. Great escapism and in this economic crisis, that's always welcome.

The friend I saw Quantum of Solace with virtually made the same comments as yourself. He said he loved both movies, but preferred Casino Royale. In his case, I suspect it's because QOS is much more down, dirty and grungy than CR. There are more scenes featuring the traditional, suave, sophisticated, tuxedo-wearing Bond in Casino Royale, which is the Bond my friend prefers. Alternatively, Bond's attire of choice in Quantum of Solace is more likely to be dirt! Not so many grand, spectacular European settings in QOS. Not so many tuxedos.

Like my friend, I too loved both movies, but with a decided preference for Quantum of Solace, in my case.  :D

For me, Daniel Craig has a smoldering, intense, on-screen dynamism that's impossible to resist. Heck, he must be HOT for me to snatch my "Sexiest Man Alive" preference from Christopher Meloni and award it to him. It must be those beautiful, intense, spectacularly bluer-than-blue eyes of his. They sure are hypnotic. Believe me, he could ask me to do anything,  and I'd do it in an instant! Quicker, if at all possible, to win his favour! What a man!  :D

One tries to analyze why one has such an intense reaction to some on-screen personas, as I have to Daniel Craig's 007. For me, personally, I suspect it's because I'm fantasizing I'm him, as I watch him on screen. Speaking as a once wimpy, effete, much-bullied schoolboy, one can't help but fantasize oneself into the role of 007; or, alternatively, at least fantasizing that you have him on your side against the thugs.

**sigh**

What a manly man.  :-*  I like pretty boys, and geeky boys, but I also like manly men and Craig is definitely a manly man.

This one's shamelessly OT, from Casino Royale. Let me know if you'd like me to delete it.  ;)   ;)   ;)   ;D

Phew, is it suddenly very hot in here? Please, someone, hand me a fan.   ;)
