Looks like the summer picnic will be more than just another party!

nice dialogue Les!!
“Mr. Coyote always gets me good, boy,”  Ellery said, winking.  “Almost forgot what life was like before I got me my own personal coyote.”

Enjoyed the update very much.
Lots to think about with this one---hard hard choices, from which there may never be another chance to redo.  very tough.

I love TTVOT.
Sounds like the picnic will be attended by all sorts !!!!!  It's going to be interesting for sure.
I can't wait.  I think a chili cook off is an excellent idea.
I just love your Ennis and Jack and their whole family.

Karen,

Welcome to Bettermost! I hope you enjoy it here. I look forward to discussing the story.

As for the picnic, it is getting a little bit larger than Jack or Ennis ever expected, that's for sure!

Yep, I'm looking forward to it, too!  It sure has put a little bit of a different spin on it now that K.E. maybe be turning up.  30 years - hope it's special - and that K.E. doesn't put a damper on things (or worse).  I'm REALLY liking Cecilia.  She really told K.E. how it was.  Loved her for that.    Karen

Hey t_wistful, welcome...glad to have you here...

Things are heating up for the party but we have some stuff to go before then. Meanwhile, if anyone wants to post a chili recipe or two, we can get our own little contest going....

Hugs to all,

Leslie

Thanks for the invite and the welcome.  :)

Chili recipe?  Let's see, you go to the store and buy the packet of Chili-O brand seasoning, tomatoes, pinto beans, etc.  ;)

I can't cook worth a damn, but I am pretty good with a can opener.  ;)
