Beautiful, Leslie, tearful and and beautiful.

Wish I could say more, not yet. But I will.

John, just so you know...you were a huge inspiration for this chapter. Way back when, you made a comment to me, "I worry about Hal, a life of sorrow and regret..." I have held that thought and figured it out in this chapter. I would like to think that Hal's life was not entirely unhappy (viz, the people showing up at the house and the funeral...he has friends)...and I managed to transfer the bulk of unhappiness and regret to Pete....still, poor Hal, missing a life that could have been...

Leslie, this letter posting is long overdue... ;)

A big, warm and heartfelt Thank You!!! for every single chapter of your story.

I'm an avid reader of your fanfic and look forward to every new chapter. Though it took me 2 attempts to appreciate it. First time, I read only the first and half of the second chapter and stopped (sorry!). I did not think it was bad (no way!) it was just - different. I guess it took me a while to get used to the thought of a different universe of Ennis and Jack.
But a few weeks later, at my second time it got me hooked and I spent half a night in front of the computer, reading all 13 (by then) chapters.
Since then you can count me in to the folks who are impatiently waiting for every new chapter.
Great story.

‘cause the truth is, I already give him everythin’ I got to give, more than I ever even knew I had; ‘n it all for him, all of it, him who is my brother, my father, my child, my friend, my lover, my heart, my soul; my Ennis.
