I just got into the Australian Yahoo news and saw the video clip of you placing the roses Meryl.

Wonderful tribute.......

On this sad occasion, some cause for joy tonight!

I have just seen Meryl on Australian Channel 7's prime-time 6 o'clock News telecast!

It is Friday night here in Sydney - Jan 23.

Meryl, the news item showed you in your long black coat, leaving flowers.

The item also mentioned Five Leaves and showed the interior of the restaurant. They interviewed press and fans at Broome Street and also a very distressed man at Five Leaves who was in tears and couldn't speak.

I just saw it too Kerry.........

I asked all my family here to stop and watch with me.

To have a member of Bettermost, be shown leaving those roses, felt like you were representing us all, and for that I thank you.

I saw Meryl in the news preview, shown just before the main broadcast at 6pm and immediatedly phoned my friend,  George, very excitedly, to ask if he would tape the News for me (I don't have a DVD burner attached to my television). He wanted to chat but I was so excited, I just said, "I have to go, I don't want to miss seeing my friend on telly!" After seeing Meryl, I went on-line and found that you had posted the link, Sue, so phoned George again to let him know that I wouldn't need the recording after all (I had ideas about posting it to Meryl!). It was a very nicely produced piece. Very sensitively done. And I recognised you immediately, Meryl. You were so dignified and reverential.

Have just viewed the links posted previously by Meryl and Sue and they are not from the prime-time broadcast tonight. I saw a different piece. I suspect the above links may be from an earlier broadcast during the day. The piece I saw was more to do with Heath and less to do with the Oscars.
