This news makes me feel both better and worse for not getting in my birthday wishes to Chris on the appointed day, yesterday (at least in writing). Better cause he probably didn't miss it, worse cause he needed to know how much he's loved!

Chris tried to get the doctor to agree to him being logged into the chatroom during the surgery.  He said he'd just take local anesthetic so he could keep chatting in the O.R.  He almost had them convinced, but they didn't have anyone extra available to type for him....

Chris, I sure have noticed your absence.  Sarah's right - your 24 years are going to stand you in very good stead as you heal.  Prayers for you and little CJ.
