So much for his much touted Catholic 'piety'. 

Six weeks after his wife Robyn filed for divorce after 28 years of marriage, Mel Gibson has some news of his own: his Russian musician girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, 39, is pregnant, the actor's rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.

He divorces his wife (has the divorce even been finalized yet?) gets another woman pregnant and then has the gall to call himself a devout Catholic?

And didn't he once speak up in opposition to gay marriage? That took a lot of nerve too considering his recent history. Gee whiz...

I think he may be more of a submarine Catholic. He only surfaces when he's in trouble.

The guy's a hypocritical jerk.  He's the one who once said his wife was going to hell because she wasn't his brand of religion.

Now, according to his religion, he's an adulterous fornicator and has conceived a child out of wedlock - basically a bastard child (not legitimate).

I guess the tenets of his own religion don't apply to him.

She's expecting a $400 million settlement. 

No doubt, she deserves every last red cent. She gave birth to his 7 children, and stayed with him through a lot of his troubles. I'm glad she gets half. Hopefully he won't begrudge her the money.

But they have been separated for 3 years. I read that his drinking problem finally provided the last straw. Maybe some prior womanizing too.

If he marries this new woman---I bet he gets a prenuptial agreement.

Last I heard, he does.  She asked for alimony and he didn't want to pay it.  Considering the chunk of change she is entitled to since they didn't have a prenup - $500 million was the last quote I read - he might have a leg to stand on, but who knows what their home life was like?
