How depressing.  I can drive 20 miles and see scads and scads of scenes like this.  Looks like Texas in winter.  Note the dried yellow grass, spindly trees and sepia tone of everything.

And not a drop of snow to change the drab scenary for months. :-\

Dinner sounds great!  Friday or Saturday night would be great.. during the week probably doesn't suit you anyway, but I've got stuff on every evening this week, the social little butterfly I am (I could maintain the illusion its all fun stuff, but its just not  :P)

I wish there were more of you guys here in Australia.  What a HOOT we'd have!!  ;D

In fact, Ray, I think they should all visit us.  And then we can visit them.  ;D

Is it Mandy who lives in Canada??  Cause if it is, you may well see me some time next year - am thinking about a trip up there for a few weeks. Never been, heard its beautiful and my New Years resolution this year was to take more holidays, buy less DVD's and see more of the world and less of my TV screen!

Ray has posted several photos of the gorgeous sunrises from his balcony.  Or were they on your website?  Sheyne, while in Canada, stop in Seattle, we're not far from the border and it's a gorgeous part of the world.  We've got a guest room.

You bet, Elle.  I'll let you all know in plenty of time when I'm heading over that way, but it will either be June/July next year or either early Dec (if i can get the time off work) or 2nd / 3rd week in January 2008.  Holiday this year is Tasmania and New Zealand  ;D

Oh it would be SO awesome to go to Australia to visit Ray & Sheyne! A blast we'd have indeed. I've never been to Australia. In fact, I've never left the continent!

And yes, I am in Canada! (Nicole R. is too. She's in Ontario). I'm in Newfoundland currently, going to UNI. I don't know where I'll be next year. Probably still in NFLD, getting another degree, but who knows!

Sheyne, just a warning; you mentioned coming in Dec. or Jan., pretty much all of Canada will be covered in snow then, and fairly cold. Well, maybe not so much in western Canada, but almost everywhere! But Canada is amazing, I love it here, such a beautiful country.

C'mon over Mandy.  Seize the day!  No cherry cake I'm afraid as I'd rather Coyote Testicle pie, and PUHlenty of Whiskey to see us through those balmy nights.  Spare room with its own view, and a toothbrush waiting that's only been used once!  Any Brokie is welcome to crash here, but make it quick 'cause I ain't hangin' 'round for long!
