Another fanfic I enjoy:

For A Little While
Some Silver Lining
Over The Bridge

They belong together and are all written by the same author: maidenofthesea. FALW and SSL are complete, OTB just started and has three chapters yet.

Synopsis respectivaly author's note to the first one, For A Little While:

I was inspired by Ennis' comment concerning the good time they had that one year at Don Wroe's cabin. That one year being 1980 in my world, the year chosen at random since no year was mentioned in either the book nor the movie.

I wanted to second this recommendation.... This is also a very good fic, IMO particularly For a Little While.  I won't spoil it for anyone, but there is one particular moment that absolutley made me gasp and made my heart skip a few beats... I still think about it occasionally out of nowhere.  It's a good one!

I really enjoyed this chapter too... I thought the way she handled Jack's reaction to the particular situation was very well done! I can't wait for the next update...
