Best wishes for a speedy recovery to you, and for a quick and easy new car-buying process too. So glad to hear the physical injuries weren't worse, that accident certainly sounded severe enough. I hope you're not too shaken from it all, that kind of thing is nerve-wracking to say the least. And hopefully, now you've had more than your full share of bad luck on the car driving front, and so this won't ever happen again.

If it's totalled, then I have to go play the car buying game (which I loathe).  I buy new cars and try and keep them as long as possible.

try the leasing option, I've been doing nothing but leasing cars for the last 20 years. its a better deal all around.

Phillip,

I am so sorry to hear about your accident.  I'd had my close calls with bad drivers, but so far, nothing too serious.

At least, if it's totalled, you will get a new car.  Get the safest model out there, is my advice.  It's such chore, car shopping and all, especially this time of the year.To have to go shopping for one out of the clear blue would be even worse.

I'm always get attached to my old car (oh the trips we took together).   Have any idea what sort of car your going to get??

I hope matters resolve themselves in a hurry and am grateful your injuries weren't serious.

Best regards and good luck,

KARL

Again, thanks everyone!  I am very happy to report I am probably 80% recovered.  The wrist pain is now diminished - it's noticeable only if I press on my hand.  Typing is now only causing me some minor twinges above my wrist.  I think in another day or two this will be a done deal.

On Monday I will begin learning the disposition of the PHILJOHN mobile (it's our license tag).  I suspect if they do fix it, we'll not see it again for three weeks.  But I have my mom's old Buick Park Avenue (the land yacht), so besides the $50 in gas I had to put into it yesterday, we'll be okay for a car for now.

I'll be missing my XM Radio though!

Anyway, emotionally I am fully back as well.  I think having been through this once before has made this second mess easier to deal with.  I mostly dread the hassle.

We should be back on track with BetterMost stuff starting Monday morning.
