Glad the rain reduced the fire risk and filled up your water tanks. Apparently Sydney had the most rain in one day since July. That is not a problem in Dunedin. They get excited if a bushfire burns out 1 hectare over there.
I was glad it was much cooler on Christmas day but did feel sorry for all those who planned picnic lunches which as you know is popular over here. Apparently it was warm and dry in Dunedin in fact warmer than Sydney so they would all be feeling the heat. In Dunedin everyone says how it is hot if the temperature goes over 20'C
The hottest day I have experienced there was 28'C although the record for the city is 32'C. Even then it would only last one day then back to the normal cool weather.
