Thanks folks for all the nice words
but when you start with frames from such an emotional film as Brokeback, the emotion is already in the picture.
I enjoyed doing them and I hope it shows.

MMMmmm maybe I should try some other scenes.
Thanks

Here comes a *bump* for Toast's fine art.

I can't believe I haven't commented on your pics yet. They're beautiful, amazing, poignant and truly a wonderful homage to Brokeback Mountain. Thank you Toast for sharing them  :-*.

And I'd definitely be in for some more .....

Just in case you don't know how I feel already...I guess it bears repeating...I think you
do lovely work...You know the scene, that i would love to see...*no pressure.  its one of my
favorites, even tho it is a very simple one...the moving to higher ground of the Back of Ennis, on his horse with the mules...I love that so much...  Thanks again publicly for allowing me to use your beautiful
picture in my signature.......                                                                        janice

Hey Janice !!
I think your thoughtful posts give my picture KNASH'S PICTURE a pride of place.
Looks good on you.

You have a great idea Janice
I have done the scenes that mean a lot to me
but why not send in some suggestions about scenes that you all love and would like to see 'painted'
So go ahead and I'll check in and make a list of meaningful scenes to present here.
That could be my belated New Year gift to you all.
Toast

Janice and I have finally been told where her image came from
I actually gave her 'permission' use the aint_queer image, but later couldn't find proof that I had made it
Now we find out from knash that it is his fine creation.

^^^ oh, the little drawing in your sig line, that's something i did back in the fall of 06.. :D ;)  here's the original sketch before i colored it.

but i LOVE toast's fabulous manip "paintings"! i commented on them yesterday when i came across the thread.. just beautiful.

Sorry knash that I took credit for your work.

Here are his original images.

He calls this the drawing by Knash, and I say it's beautiful.

wow, these are just great, Toast!

i love your use of color and how it can bring out the nuances of some of the darker scenes, like the faraway bar scene with jimbo. very beautiful stuff, i really liked the siesta bed, john twist, joe on the phone, the fireworks. the one with ennis and his horse looking outside of the lonely house is great too, you did such a great job at choosing some unusual and interesting shots! musing2 is also superb, i love the coloring so much, and the sledding scenes are cool too. i'm glad you posted these -- i'd never seen them before! thanks...

also, what progam do you use to acheive these effects? i haven't figured out a way do do such interesting textures in Photohop. i'm thinking it must be Painter?
