My first x/6 in a long time -- it's karma payback for my gloating yesterday about only having gotten x/6 a couple of times. Just like in 2022, when I said I'd never broken a bone and the next day broke my arm.

Damn it, I've never won the lottery! I've never had a publisher call me out of the blue and want to publish my book! I've never been discovered on the street by Greta Gerwig and offered a role in a cool indie but tentpole movie co-written with Noah Baumbach but reflecting more her cheery optimistic style than his cynical outlook! Those things never, ever happen to me -- you hear that, karma??

However, I did find a $20 bill in the street yesterday, then 20 minutes later met a white-bearded guy in the grocery store walking around in red pants, a red T-shirt and a casual red jacket with white fleece at the collar and cuffs. So I may be on a roll of some kind ...
