Here's an example of where it would have been better to stick with my standard guesses. I decided to guess around the verified R. But if I'd used my usual second guess, which is DANCE, I would have all but one of the letters.

Trying to mislead us with SWIFT, because they know everybody thinks and talks about Taylor Swift 24/7. But sometimes it's a clue if a word is not synonymous but deceptively adjacent to another group -- in this case SWIFT is adjacent, but not synonymous, to BOLT, DART, DASH, ZIP.

I struck out again today! What's happening to me?! The '80s slang was the only one I saw fairly clearly from the beginning. I have to watch out for those purple categories in which the words are homophones for other things -- a type of category they like and that I never get.

Luckily, I won back some self-confidence with Wordle.

Trying for the second day to work with the revelations in the first guess rather than trying to eliminate more letters. By guessing CHIME, I made progress. My standard second guess is DANCE, which would have made the C a yellow instead of a green.
