The Partridge Family was truly nauseating.  I even thought so then.

OK, you know what's REALLY REALLY bad? Gidget. I liked that as a kid. So when my sons started watching it in reruns last summer I was all excited.

It was horrific. Especially from a feminist point of view. Gidget is spunky and ambitious and adventuresome and assertive. But time and time again, the lesson Gidget learns is that she crossed the line, she shouldn't try to do what boys do, that's not her place, she should just trust in her old reliable feminine wiles to get what she wants.

I bet even Sally Field would gag if she watched it now.

I LOVED The Partridge Family! I had all their albums.

I thought David Cassidy was to die for! He was so hot and cute.  :)
