I'd like to suggest including some songs from husky-voiced gay icon, Dusty Springfield.
She has a deep, soulful voice that I think would be in keeping with the mood of Brokeback Mountain radio, and her songs address universal gay themes of unrequited love and love lost. Themes that Jack and Ennis could relate to.
