That's a great picture (and article) Melissa. This just goes to show us that animals are more aware and in tune with their surroundings than many people give them credit for. In other words, they understand.

I have seen this over and over again with my animals; even with my fish which some people consider to be the stupidest animals on earth. They swim around happily when they see me come into the room. Sometimes when I put my hand into the tank they will let me pet them.    They know who I am. (By the way, they won't let anyone else do this).

I love pictures and stories like this lion article you posted. Animals have intelligence and feelings too. I think it's always important for people to try and remember this.

I agree Dela! There are so many good animal causes to donate to.

And I forgot to say KUDOS to that woman and what she does for all these abandoned and injured animals. There isn't enough people in the world like her, who will love and take care of these animals when even other animals don't want them. 

Oh, and the picture reminds me of Jack and Ennis Melissa. You asked that question and I forgot to answer it for you.
