I was gonna try to wait until the story was more along before I started it but it just keep calling. Now, once again, I am completely hooked. I am in awe of how Minch can completely suck you into a mood from the first paragraph.

Love it, love her

‘cause the truth is, I already give him everythin’ I got to give, more than I ever even knew I had; ‘n it all for him, all of it, him who is my brother, my father, my child, my friend, my lover, my heart, my soul; my Ennis.

SPOILER

"Jack was full of dreams and hopes, most of which he knew, in the deepest part of the night when even the stars seemed to dull, were foolish things that would never come to pass. But Ennis was brighter than all of those. Jack saw life there."

Isn't that beautiful?

Oh, Marie! You're doing it again!  :) That was my favorite line too. Beautiful writing. Can't wait for more.

Thanks Littleguitar

All of Mandy's stories are good, but this one is even better! I recommend it.

That's for letting us know!

I love this story  :)

I do too - it's worth repeating.

It’s hard to put into words how it felt for him to smile at the sun, to take pride in the earth and to have the joy he felt at the day make the night all that much brighter. He’d managed to bring day with him, earth to his sacred night. The two had melded in a way he hadn’t thought possible.

"...earth to his sacred night...."  Sigh.
