Aw, thanks, guys.

Had an *amazing* birthday. Went to my favorite place for lunch, then took Will to his first St. Patty's Day Parade ever and my first one in about (ugh) 25 years. It was a glorious day - 75 degrees Farenheit and not a cloud in the sky all day long. And Ed gave me a mind-boggling present - a car. Had one already, but it's a 1990 Toyota Cressida which we bought used in the first place. Got about 175,000 miles on it, now. Still runs like a top, but looks like hell and has a number of nitnoidy problems that keep us visiting the service center about once a month or so. ANYway, got the car o' my dreams - a Mercedes E300, silver. Used, but not nearly as much so as my other car. Driving it is like floating on a cloud.
There's hope for this boy, yet.

Seriously, I'm really not materialistic. Like the line in the song goes, "For cars, she couldn't care less." But I kidded him every now and then since driving my friend's brand-new one a few years ago that "there's nothing like a Mercedes." It was kind of a running joke.
So now I guess I can never ask for anything again (or the first time). He figures that square is filled.
(I'd have rather had a visit from Jake, but all the hints about that didn't pan out.)
Thanks again for all the well-wishes! You're all the tops!
