Oh Walt Whitman! Sorry I went through a little obsession about him while I was going through my "The Notebook" stage. Cause the character Noah reads "Leaves of Grass" to help get him over his stammer when he was younger, then takes it to war with him and it takes a bullet for him.
Sorry I am going on my "I love the Notebook" band-wagon again, I will stop. ::) But that is very reminisent of Brokeback. Well done for the research Isabelle Bravo! :-*

Ok, Jakie's all charged up again so I thought I'd add a few more songs:

*the first two are originally from movies*

Who Wants To Live Forever - Queen

There's no time for us
There's no place for us
What is this thing that builds our dreams, yet slips away from us

Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever . . . . . ?
Oh ooo oh
There's no chance for us
It's all decided for us
This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us

Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever
Ooh
Who dares to love forever
Oh oo woh, when love must die

But touch my tears with your lips
Touch my world with your fingertips
And we can have forever
And we can love forever
Forever is our today

Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever
Forever is our today
Who waits forever anyway?

Against All Odds - Phil Collins (though I much prefer the Westlife & Mariah Carey version)

How can I just let you walk away, just let you leave without a trace
When I stand here taking every breath with you, ooh
You're the only one who really knew me at all

How can you just walk away from me,
when all I can do is watch you leave
Cos we've shared the laughter and the pain and even shared the tears
You're the only one who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now, oh there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me,
just the memory of your face
Ooh take a look at me now, well there's just an empty space
And you coming back to me is against all odds and that's what I've got to face

I wish I could just make you turn around,
turn around and see me cry
There's so much I need to say to you,
so many reasons why
You're the only one who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now, well there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me, just the memory of your face
Now take a look at me now, cos there's just an empty space

But to wait for you, is all I can do and that's what I've got to face
Take a good look at me now, cos I'll still be standing here
And you coming back to me is against all odds
It's the chance I've gotta take

Take a look at me now

*nobody laugh at this one! Seriously, no one!!*
I'm Not Buying - Darius

So many times we find ourselves here -
Looking just about anywhere
But in each others eyes,
I'm wondering why...
So many chances brushed then wasted,
So many matches almost won in injury time -Nobody cried...
We're kicking pieces out of each other,
Instead of kicking the pain in our hearts -
Where do we start?

Chorus
Well we can reach,
And we can climb,
And we can turn this ship around in time -
That's why I'm holding out for you
I'm not buying that it's over
You can tell me anything
But I'm not buying that it's broken.

So many fixes come too easy,
Leave us so unsatisfied -
Chasing the kite, addicted to high...
So many patches we have worn,
So many promises left still born We're so blind, we kill more than time
Intoxicated, drowning each other -
Instead of drowning the pain in our hearts...
Where do we start?

Chorus

We'll walk with innocence
We'll leave the ignorance
We'll run together, let's break this silence...
Don't wanna fight no more,
Wanna feel the light some more,
Let's run together and break this silence...
I'm holding out for you,
Reaching out for you,
No way that this is through -

If we just If we just
We can reach, we can reach
We can reach,
And we can climb,
And we can hold on by our feelings to what is right.
I'm holding out for you,
I'm not buying that it's over,
I'm holding out for you, reaching out for you, no way that this is through
You can tell me anything,
Sell me anything,
To hell with everything,
I'm not buying that it's over

There are quite a few good lyrics in some Busted songs that apply, even if the songs don't fuly. This is another don't laugh thing, Busted have good album songs!

Then some obvious ones are:
Always - Bon Jovi
Angel - Sarah McLachlan
I've learnt that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in!

Hi

there are so many songs that make me thnk of BBm ........ the one I love and cherish the most is

Alejate   sung by Josh Groban

here are the words:

 ALEJATE

In English:

I never felt so much love in my soul
And no one loved me more than you did
For you I laughed and cried, and was reborn
I gave all I have to keep you here
I know that saying goodbye is best
Suffering, I will pay for my mistake
And nothing will be the same. I have to accept it
And find the strength in me for this goodbye

Just walk away. I cannot bear it anymore
There’s no way to go back in time
Forget me
And let me go on alone with my solitude
Just walk away, tell me goodbye
And I will resign myself to going on without your warmth
And I will never understand what happened
If there's nothing I can do, just walk away

I’m not going to repent for yesterday
I loved you, woman
For that love, for always being faithful
Today I have to be strong and learn

Just walk away. I cannot bear it anymore
There’s no way to go back in time
Forget me
And let me go on alone with my solitude
Just walk away, tell me goodbye
And I will resign myself to going on without your warmth
And I will never understand what happened
If there's nothing I can do, just walk away

Just walk away. I cannot bear it anymore
There’s no way to go back in time
Forget me
And let me go on alone with my solitude
Just walk away, tell me goodbye
And I will resign myself to going on without your warmth
And I will never understand what happened
If there's nothing I can do, just walk away

it just has meaning for me....hard to explain....

hugs
Kea

Wow!! That's perfect, isn't it?!

Isabelle: I saw it one time and saved it for future reference cos I was watching all the music vids that day but I never got back to it. I take they use the Phil Collin's version?

Lol, it cracks me up so much when people refer to me as "Fuzzy". ;D

Yeah, just wondering, cos like I said, I much prefer the Westlife and Mariah Carey version. It's far more powerful. Thanks for the info :D

I have been singing this in my head all day cause of the Romeo and Juliet performance last night and now I can't get it out of my head. It is not really very BBM, but it is a sad song:

SINEAD O'CONNOR
NOTHING COMPARES 2 U

It's been seven hours and fifteen days
Since u took your love away
I go out every night and sleep all day
Since u took your love away
Since u been gone I can do whatever I want
I can see whomever I choose
I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
But nothing
I said nothing can take away these blues
`Cause nothing compares
Nothing compares 2 u
It's been so lonely without u here
Like a bird without a song
Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
Tell me baby where did I go wrong
I could put my arms around every boy I see
But they'd only remind me of you
I went to the doctor n'guess what he told me
Guess what he told me
He said girl u better have fun
No matter what u do
But he's a fool
`Cause nothing compares
Nothing compares 2 u
All the flowers that u planted, mama
In the back yard
All died when u went away
I know that living with u baby was sometimes hard
But I'm willing to give it another try
Nothing compares
Nothing compares 2 u
Nothing compares
Nothing compares 2 u
Nothing compares
Nothing compares 2 u

I have noticed something quite funny; most disney songs can be connected with BBM in some way or another for example:

Can You Feel the Love Tonight- Lion King
[Alma:]  I can see what's happ'ning
[Alma Jr:]  (What?)
[Alma:]  And they don't have a clue!
[Alma Jr:]  (Who?)
[Alma:]  They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line
Our trio's down to two. (a bit of poetic lisence on that one, you will have to forget Jenny)

[Alma Jr:]  (Oh.)

[Alma:] (French accent) The sweet caress of twilight
          There's magic everywhere
And with all this romantic atmosphere
          Disaster's in the air

[Choir:]  Can you feel the love tonight?
          The peace the evening brings
The world, for once, in perfect harmony
          With all its living things

[Ennis:]  So many things to tell him   ( Poetic lisence of changing the she's into he's)
But how to make him see
The truth about my past?  Impossible!
          he'd turn away from me

[Jack:]   He's holding back, he's hiding
          But what, I can't decide
Why won't he be the king I know he is
          The king I see inside?

[Choir:]  Can you feel the love tonight?
          You needn't look too far
          Stealing through the night's uncertainties
          Love is where they are

[Alma:]  And if he falls in love tonight
          It can be assumed
His carefree days with us are history
In short, our pal is doomed

Sorry I love the idea of Alma as a bronx meercat(sp?)!

Part of your world reprise- The Little Mermaid:

What would I give
To live where you are?
What would I pay
To stay here beside you?
What would I do to see you
Smiling at me?

Where would we walk?
Where would we run?
If we could stay all day in the sun?
Just you and me
And I could be
Part of your world

I don't know when
I don't know how
But I know something's starting right now
Watch and you'll see
Some day I'll be
Part of your world

One Song- Snow White and the Seven Dwarves:

One Song
I have but one song
One song
Only for you

One heart
Tenderly beating
Ever entreating
Constant and true

One love
That has possessed me
One love
Thrilling me through

One song
My heart keeps singing
Of one love
Only for you

So This is Love- Cinderella:(I especially love this one cause it reminds me of Ennis happily humming)

So this is love, Mmmmmm
So this is love
So this is what makes life divine
I'm all aglow, Mmmmmm
And now I know
The key to all heaven is mine

My heart has wings, Mmmmmm
And I can fly
I'll touch ev'ry star in the sky
So this is the miracle that I've been dreaming of
Mmmmmm
Mmmmmm
So this is love

I Wan'na Be Like You- Jungle Book(This one made me laugh cause of the idea of the comparison between King Louis and Jack and Ennis wanting their manhood(hertosexuality) back is just too funny.)

Now I'm the king of the swingers
Oh, the Brokeback VIP
I've reached the top and had to stop
And that's what botherin' me
I wanna be a man, mancub
And stroll right into town
And be just like the other men
I'm tired of monkeyin' around!

Oh, oobee doo
I wanna be like you
I wanna walk like you
Talk like you, too
You'll see it's true
A guy like me
Can learn to be human too

Now don't try to kid me, mancub
I made a deal with you
What I desire is man's red fire
To make my dream come true
Give me the secret, mancub
Clue me what to do
Give me the power of man's red flower
So I can be like you

You!
I wanna be like you
I wanna talk like you
Walk like you, too
You'll see it's true
Someone like me
Can learn to be
Like someone like me
Can learn to be
Like someone like you
Can learn to be
Like someone like me!

Love- Robin Hood.

Love
It seems like only yesterday
You were just a child at play
Now you're all grown up inside of me
Oh, how fast those moments flee

Once we watched a lazy world go by
Now the days seem to fly
Life is brief, but when it's gone
Love goes on and on

Love will live
Love will last
Love goes on and on and on

Once we watched a lazy world go by
Now the days seem to fly
Life is brief, but when it's gone
Love goes on and on

My Very own version on "Not in Nottingham" from Robin Hood. But, how should I put this, with a little Twist!

Not on Brokeback Man! - Adapted by me!

Every mound
Has its ups and down
Sometime ups
Outnumber the downs

But not on Brokeback, man
I'm inclined to believe
If we were so down
We'd up and leave

We'd up and fly if we had wings for flyin'
Can't you see the tears we're cryin'?
Can't there be some happiness for me?
Not on Brokeback, man.

Now try and come up with your own Brokeback Disney songs. Trust me it is really fun!

Becky, you have truly lost the plot. Plus, it's slightly blasphemus (spelling?) in my opinion to change Disney songs :P
