How is everyone doing?
Welcome to Winter!!! We had snow flurries most of the day yesterday, and then overnight it picked up! We ended up with about an inch or snow of fluffy white stuff on the ground. It looks very pretty outside!
I need to get out today, and get some Christmas shopping done. It's only gift cards for my parents. They've reached the age where they really don't need thing, and enjoy going out for stuff, so gift cards it is!
I'm also going to a local place that makes homemade chocolates. I want to give them to a friend who was there for me when I was going through all the stuff with mom, and give them to her as a "thanks"!
Other than that, I believe I am ready for Christmas!

Hiya Jeff and Lee! I don't think I got sick from being run-down. We actually had a good system, because mom is retired now, and I was on vacation. I was at their home at 10 in the morning, and we were done for the day by 3:00 the latest, so it wasn't long hours. Things just didn't pan out this year.
Mom and dad said they're planning on getting a new stove, I believe by February. So when it's in we can get some practice using it, and trying the sugar cookies again, and see what we need to do to make sure they turn out.
Also, with me getting sick, on that Monday I had an appointment with my dentist for a cleaning. I didn't see the actual dentist, he was in his office, as he wasn't feeling well, so he was avoiding his patients, put he could've passed something to his techs who passed it to me. Also, Tuesday was bowling, and I could've caught something there.

Christmas is almost here!
I am working late tonight, I'll be signed on until 6:30, but I volunteered for it. Everyone had plans tonight, but my plans are for tomorrow, and everything is done now, so I'll stay signed on, and cover for everyone.
My big plans for the evening are to have dinner, watch Hallmark movies, and do some Christmas jigsaw puzzles.
Tomorrow I'll be with the family for lunch, and then I've been invited to my friends' house in the evening. It's been a while since I connected with them, so I'm glad to have the chance!

Funny! I work until 6 every night, and 6:30 isn't unusual if something's going on. But then, I don't start until 9-9:30.
A late night for me would be a 2-11 shift, which also could potentially go later if some big news event happens. I'm sure the night Prince died, or the day the I-35 bridge over the Mississippi collapsed, people were working until 2 and 3 a.m.

As I read the afternoon and evening updates, I'm newly grateful for the long hours and overtimes/holidays journalists put in. Thank you!
