Maybe your snow storm moved in from the Atlantic? Maybe it's even the one we had on Dec. 24th? (Nah, I don't think so, but it's a cool idea).
It was the same here on Christmas Eve. It started to snow heavily in the morning and didn't stop for the next 24 hours.

Well, I just took about 1 hour 15 minutes to shovel out a bit of my sidewalk and car, as when I called the automated weather number system, it says we're open for business, no closings or delays.
