Hiya BetterMost friends.

How is everyone today?

Geeeez.....I feel like it's been forever since I've been here!

*sweeps up, blows away dust and cobwebs*

So, we made it through Thanksgiving, now on to Christmas, New Year's, and my birthday!  ;D

Today's destination, Teatro Colon, Argentina:

Mikhail Barishnikov called it "the most beautiful of theaters I konw," and many other world-class performers hold fond memories of Teatro Colon, which opened in 1908.  The great stars who appeared in this, Buenos Aires' premier theater, included Anna Pavlova, Maria Callas, Enrico Caruso, and Luciano Pavarotti.

No, he was from Perth, as Brian already said.
He lived in Broome Street in NYC though. Guess you mixed up those two.

Oh yes, that definitely must be it...thank you friend!

Bowling was a mixed bag last night.......My team lost all three games, my two team-mates didn't bowl up to their usual standards.  However, all three of my games were all over 100, with a high of 133, so I'm not complaining.

;D

Today's destination, Kakadu National Park, Australia:

Five thousand rock paintings, some more than 25,000 years old, endure in the sandstone caves of Kakadu park - what the local museum calls "the greates body of rock art in the world."

So you did well.

December 1st!  The year is almost over, Christmas is almost here!

Today is also World AIDS Day.

I often wonder what the world would be like if all those we lost to AIDS were still here.

Today's destination, Cape May, NJ:

The oldest seaside resort in the U.S., Cape May grows quiet in the off-season, but its Victorian hotels and guest houses aer never silent, and many of its quaint shops stay open for the popular Christmas season.  Deserted beaches offer contemplative strolling amid the sounds of wind and waves.

Yaaaaaaaaaay!  My home state!

Hiya BetterMost friends.

I hope that everyone is doing well!

I've had a busy weekend, and I'm glad that I have tomorrow off, as I have a headache and plan to medicate before bed.

Friday I stayed up a little late getting some stuff done around the house.  Saturday was a bowling event (see my striking out section) and ended up tired.  Today I was up early for more bowling.  Tried to take a nap, but couldn't.  I got a bunch of my Christmas cards addressed and put into the mailbox today as well.

Tomorrow I'll be sleeping in (hopefully) as my car will be at the shop....not anything major, just some small stuf that needs to be done.

The work on Christmas Cards continues, they're going out in small stages, I hope to get more done today.

LOL

Getting ready for Christmas and year-end here at work as well......crunch time!  ;D

Today's destination, Lech, Austria.

Some of the choicest downhill skiing ( and aprés-ski) in the world can be found in the western reaches of the Austrian Alps.  Lech, the region's most charming village resort, has an unspoiled character and an indisputable air of exclusivity.
