Good question! Pewter once contained lead but modern pewter is tin with other metals added to strengthen it. So it's an alloy.

Oh I see! Thanks Lee!

Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!

Hope everyone who celebrates had a great Thanksgiving!

My week was very productive!   We got the test run on the cookies done, and they turned out great.  Shopping got done on Tuesday, food prep for Wednesday, Thanksgiving went very well, and all the food turned out great!  On Friday Thanksgiving came down at my place, and the apartment got decorated for Christmas.  Saturday I took the day to relax and watch Halmark holiday movies.  Sunday (today) ornaments got put on the tree,  groceries were picked up, and any holiday cards that are going overseas got written and addressed.  I'll be dropping them off at the post office tomorrow morning before work.

I work this week, and then I have the next week for vacation for cookie prep for the last office Christmas party on the 11th.

... for the last office Christmas party on the 11th.

I wonder if there will be a party atmosphere for this last Christmas party. You must vow to get together with your coworkers occasionally after you all go remote.

That's a bit sad about the last Xmas party.
Hopefully your employer will invite you all to something nice next year.

How do you feel about going totally remote?
I'd imagine it's a relief not to have to commute, but you're such a social person, my guess is you'll miss the chance to be around your co-workers.

Last Christmas Party? That is sad.   :(

Did you have many staff meetings when you all worked in the office? Will they now be replaced with Zoom meetings and Microsoft Team meetings? I had to deal with a lot of those before I retired.  :P

I'm sure there will be some sort of gathering, just not sure how it will work.

My job is already 100% remote, I was going in twice a week to see coworkers.   Now really being 100% remote, I'll adjust.

Yes, we had meetings usually once a week, and they'll be on Teams now, which I'm used to using.
