David In Indy:

--- Quote from: Lynne on December 26, 2007, 05:34:46 am ---You're most welcome...didn't mean to make you sad though.  It's a good memory for me - going 'parking' with my first serious boyfriend - he drove this big black four-door car - an Impala, maybe? with the vinyl seats he kept slippery so that when he took a sharp curve, I had to hold on or slide over. ::)  Boys!

--- End quote ---

Oh I'm not sad Lynne. Like I said, they are good memories of times long gone, but not forgotten! :D

You went parking too? haha!!! We did a lot of that too! Up at Skiles Test! Hot sex on car seats!! Yup!

And remember the beer bashes in the woods? Big Beer kegs and everything. Rock and Roll blaring from the car stereos. Lots of fun! :)

Hi Spicylife!! Thanks so much for your contributions!! And congratulations one your ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY at BetterMost!!! Exactly one year from today.... well, yesterday now.

Yes, I understand the "haze" you speak of. Much of the 70s is a haze for me. ;)

I'm getting ready to go to bed, but I will check out your videos tomorrow. Thanks again for posting them for us!! :)

David In Indy:
All Over The World by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO)

I can't remember what year this song hit the airwaves, but I think it was around my junior or senior year of high school, so it was probably in 1979 or 1980.

Wouldn't it be fun if we could really do this? All of us to have a party around the world? All of the Euro Brokies and the folks down in Australia and up in Canada and all of us state side could have a party at the same time! And then we could call each other during the party! :D

This video loads very quickly. It's another one of those "splash screen" deals.

David In Indy:
Here's another song from that great British group ELO...

Telephone Line

This one loads slowly. I checked part of it late last night and it seemed okay. Please let me know if there are any problems with it.

David In Indy:
"Come Sail Away" by one of the hottest groups from the Midwest - Styx.

This song is easy on the ears and easy on the dial-up too! Yup. Spash screen again.

David In Indy:
Magnum Opus By Kansas. (1976)

Many people are not familiar with this song. It rarely played on the radio during the 1970's and if you wanted to listen to it, you had to buy the album. I first heard this song at my friend's house. He had the Leftoverture album, and I quickly dashed to the record store to buy it. It is one of my favorite songs by Kansas.

Magum Opus is actually several songs all tied together....

a. Father Padilla Meets the Perfect Gnat
b. Howling at the Moon
c. Man Overboard
d. Industry on Parade
e. Release the Beavers
f. Gnat Attack

This is another one of those splash screen videos, but for some reason it loads very slowly, so I haven't checked the entire clip for quality, but what I did listen to sounded fine. This song is about 8-9 minutes long....
