David In Indy:
Yup! I was a disco dancer back in the 1970's. I was pretty good too! For several years disco was all the rage here in Indianapolis. Everybody was listening to it. And then one morning I woke up and turned on my radio, and they were telling us to smash our disco records. It was over. Just like that. Why? I never did understand it.
I still love disco. Maybe this is because I'm sentimental. Maybe it's because I'm gay. I really don't know. But I enjoy it and I will continue to listen to it, sans the dancing..... well, maybe every once in awhile, when nobody is looking!
This song is one of my favorites. I'm sure all of you are familiar with it. It's one of those wonderful 70s sounds that for most of us who grew up during that era will never forget; whether we want to or not! ;)

Hey there, David - thanks for Styx - Come Sail Away - I loved that one. How about Robert John's Sad Eyes? I remember watching my older cousin Kim getting ready for dates, listening to this, wondering when I'd be old enough to wear makeup and date too... ::)

Okay. One more disco song and then I PROMISE I will stop.
Most of us could sing this next one in our sleep. But just in case you don't know the words, the person who uploaded this video was kind enough to include the lyrics. This is in a slide show format, and it loads quickly for dial-up users. :D
Stayin' Alive by Bee Gees. (1977)

Remember the old days of dial-up? I'm still stuck in it!
