Watching The Dark Knight and marveling.

 

 

I got a poster with Heath as the Joker and "Why so serious?" for my birthday.

Gonna watch it again soon. My oldest daughter is almost 16 and thus old enough for it. She likes Heath, and happily watches any Heath movie with me.  Good girl.


I just checked the rating of TDK. In Germany, it's rated FSK 16, meaning you have to be 16 or older to see it. In the US it's rated PG-13!
In contrast, BBM is rated 12 in Germany, but rated R in the US.

Golden Globes last weekend, and me hunting on the internet for snippets of Jake and Michelle at the awards show. Evokes memories from 2006 and makes me miss Heath.

What's the matter with you Germans? You seem to think it's perfectly OK for teenagers to know about sex, and yet you have some kind of problem with violence!

It's been four years now and I'm not even sure if it gets easier...
Every now and again, when I'm in the theatre watching a movie,
I wonder if that role or that character
would not have been better portrayed by Heath, if he were still alive.
It's terribly upsetting and still pretty sad..

I am overwhelmed, positively astounded that I grieve so much for him. It changed my life-probably because he was such a big part of something else that changed my life and anchored one of the happiest times in my memory.

I cannot express my longing for him, for the time when he was here and I was anchored. He reminds me you never know how much you may mean to someone so be good to yourself.

    So sorry that you are still in such pain lil darlin.  You have so much to be happy about in his rememberance.  I hope that you can get your true healing in time.  I know how hard that can be.
We all do so feel the pain too.  Maybe not as deeply as you.  But, we do understand.  It was such
an awful thing.  Such a great waste.  I often wonder, if he may have had walking pneumonia, all
those weeks before.  I suppose that it would have been detected.  I do still speculate. 

    Be sure and get the pneumonia shot.  Everyone should.  It is so deadly.  It is doing in the very
young, as much as the older folks.  I can not express that enough.  Very important.
