Morning all,

So, it is 8 degrees this morning and I wake up to an empty propane tank and no heat in the kitchen! Ack! Fortunately, we have an oil furnace, too, so the house isn't completely cold, but it is chilly in here. The oil company we had for years was sold two months ago to a different company. This is the level of service we get now. Great, huh?

Brr!  indeed!      I can remember back in the day, my father wouldn't let us turn up the heat in the morning if everyone was leaving for school or work.   He'd go down to the kitchen and turn on the oven and leave the oven door open to warm just the kitchen.  

Myself on the otherhand,  I'll spend my last dollar on heat if I have too.  I hate a cold house.
