Nah, you have to look at it from the other perspective: the fact that you gained five pounds means the food was good and you had plenty of R+R. You earned those five punds in a very pleasant way, enjoy them ;D ;).
Honestly, five pounds are not worth fussing over, and you can easily allow them.

I'm glad you had a good time Jeff! Five pounds is no big deal. You deserve all the good food and relaxation. Wear those extra pounds like a badge of honor. You can easily work them off if you want to, but I'll bet they aren't even noticeable. An extra five pounds isn't bad at all. :)

Well, thanks for the vote of confidence, David, but that's the point. I practically starved myself last winter to lose those five pounds. I gain weight easily and lose it only with difficulty. Five pounds wouldn't seem much even to me, if I were still safely in the middle of the normal weight range for my height, but since I'm already at the upper limit of normal. ...

What can I say? That coastal New England sea air gives me an appetite like a horse!  ;D

And Cape Cod Potato Chips are the best ever. ...  ;D
