Oscar Chat 2008?
« on: February 24, 2008, 08:32:22 pm »
Anyone planning to watch?  I am.  Mostly to watch for Heath tributes.  I'm not watching any of the red carpet stuff however.

Jack Nicholson should really get the hell out of the first row and give his seat to one of the nominees.  I'm so sick of seeing his maniacally grinning face with those ridiculous shades!

I think Anne Hathaway looks real cute, and did a lovely job...

so, how does Jack Nicholson always end up in the first row?  does he get it for being such a caricature?

I guess he's considered royalty or something.

Jennifer Garner's dress was beautiful except that it really squished her boobs.  I noticed a couple of dresses that did that,  is it a trend?

Well, Little Happy Working Song is NOT going to win, lol! I can't believe it was even nominated!

I was too busy wondering how annoyed she was at her hair to notice her boobs.

Yes, that song made me wish they'd ix-nay the category.

The Walking Tall dude?  Really??

I guess it's just the two of us?  Are we bonding, lol!

Walking Tall dude?  I missed that  (My TV is in another room so I run back and forth.)

Jennifer's dress was more noticeable during the red carpet segment.  There was a good profile shot.

Javier Bardem winning was no surprise.  He looked mighty good. And he brought his mom!  Very sweet!

Yes, I loved Javier's speech!  I guess I will have to see NCFOM after all...

we may be the only ones talking but others are listening, lol

i rearranged the house today so i could watch the tv and use the laptop at the same time.  mainly i did this for the heath film festival, but it's working out well for this too!

i can't remember, did Into the Wild get other nominations?  that is one of the few movies i've seen.
