Sure thing Jess!!

I'm an early riser! I catnap throughout the day. One hour here.... one hour there!

As quick as I see a "photographically" worthy sunrise, I'll snap it for you and upload it.  :D

I LOOOOOOOVE sunrises! This makes me think of the movie "The Education of Little Tree", a story about an orphaned Cherokee boy who is raised by his White Grandfather and Native American Grandmother in the mountains of Tennessee during the 1930's. Every morning, Little Tree and his Grandpa "Granpa" would sit on the mountainside and watch the sunrise together. "She's comin' alive!" they would exclaim as the first rays of the sun began to glisten over the mountain peaks.

I LOVE sunrises! You bet I'll take a picture of them for you, Jess!  :)

Is Alex Still with you David? That seems like much longer than 2 weeks!

I can't see the photos at work - must look at when I go home tonight.

Alex said his employer is totally cool with it. I sure do hope so. I would SHEEEEEEIT if he got fired from his job because of this. I guess we'll find out once he gets back to the UK. He's swears up and down everything is fine.

Memory Lane

Okay. I'll admit I'm feeling a bit nostalgic tonight. But I came across all these great screen shots of television programs from the 1960's and 1970's and they sure did bring back a lot of memories of my childhood.

Some of you probably won't remember many of these, but I sure do. Here we go....

WTHR Channel 13 (NBC) graphic from 1982

WPDS 59 graphic from the early 1980's (now Fox 59)
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

WISH TV (CBS) Channel 8 station ID graphic in 1967.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

WFBM TV (now ABC) Channel 6 station ID graphic (now WRTV Channel 6) from 1966
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

"Let's Make A Deal" with Monty Hall (one of my favorite game shows as I was growing up) from 1971.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

"Jeopardy!" hosted by Art Fleming in 1966.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

One of my favorite game shows as a kid! "Concentration!" from 1966.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

"The following program is brought to you in living color on NBC". Remember that? NBC didn't begin colorcast to Indianapolis until late 1967.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

"To Tell The Truth"! (from 1967) Another one of my favorites! "Will the real __________ please stand up!"
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

"Seach For Tomorrow". This was one of my Mother's favorite soap operas!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

"Password"! "The password is......." This was another show I liked, even though I really didn't understand it too much!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

"I've Got A Secret"! I remember laying in front of our black and white TV as my parents watched this show.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

"The Edge of Night". This was another soap opera my Mother watched.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

"Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea". My Mother watched this one too, and I remember watching it with her.

And how could we ever forget THIS? The old test pattern and the never ending beeping sound that accompanied it...

Those were the days, huh?  :D

my goodness David.  Those are such a throwback to earlier, and a lot less harried time.
It is rather funny to see the evolution, of television, and the country, and world as a
whole...When we stop and look, its mostly how naive we all were...
I suppose that when you look at things the main change, that television has brought to us all is the information...We have instant access to all information.  I guess it is our innocence we have all lost....Everyone is cosmopolitan now....Just my opinion.
