According to what I have read about this new movie, it's about how this woman is drugging Max into this grand scheme, and she's also into s&m.  You can see how shocked he was when she first bit him on the neck; he was also high on drugs at the time.

I think Marc will definitely find Kay.  But if he can't find him, I think Kay will find Marc because he misses him so much that he wants to give him another chance.  I think Kay loves Marc in a way that won't die.

Either way, they will be back together.

Thanks for the clarification Altgerman.  I was thinking things were something like that. I hated seeing darling (as our friend Omhamdy would say) Max being all used and turned out like that.  But...it was just a movie. He looked kinda into it, though.
