I knew they were going for breakfast condiments and I can't believe I never hit upon that exact combination in four tries. I did not get the spillage one, though, and got distracted because milk and tea could also fit with the others into a breakfast or tea-time category.

Those are all sports teams of some kind. Don't ask me what sports, although I think I could accurately guess two or three of them. And apparently those teams have won the most championships in their respective sports -- so for example, the New York Yankees must have won the most championships, meaning they won the big finale game of the season (in baseball, it's the World Series, in football, the Superbowl, and then whatever the equivalents are in basketball and hockey).

You didn't need to necessarily know the part about the championships to get it right, just recognize (as I did) that those are names of some kind of sports teams ... that, and probably be American.

As being neither sports knowledgeable nor American, no wonder I didn't get it.

Sonja, the sports teams are usually plural; for some reason, they presented the singular.

It's the Boston Celtics in basketball, the Montreal Canadiens in hockey, the Green Bay Packers in football and the NY Yankees in baseball. 

The trick I almost fell for was words from the song "Yankee Doodle", which include the words macaroni and feather.  But, the spelling of Canadien gave it away; it's the French-Canadian spelling, so it had to go with Yankee as a sports team.

Yeah, I did notice the spelling Canadien as French, but didn't have anything to connect it to.

Well well, since I don't know anything at all about sport or sport teams, be it Swedish or American ones, no wonder I didn't get it.
