I don't think the bot cares about words you guess without knowing any of the letters. My two opening words resulted in nothing, too, but the bot complemented me on them ("strong opening guess," "terrific choice," respectively -- PLUMB was also a "terrific choice"). It penalized me for PUGGY, and I don't blame it; it's barely even a word but it was all I could think of in the moment and I wanted to get on with things.

Well, that and the bot likes you better.
