Apropos of today's Strands challenge, August 28, 1963 was the famous March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom with a quarter million people in attendance.
I wasn't actually born until three days later, but my dear friend Joey was there with her fiance. Apparently, it was hot as hell, but they found some shade and experienced all the wonders of that day! What a memory!
Yeah, I googled it and found out what the theme was about.
