Well, here we are, at the end of summer, beginning of meteorological fall, or heading into fall, whichever you prefer. I like thinking of it as end of summer: the time to do any summery things you've been putting off.
With me, of course, this means food, primarily. Last week, I purchased not only a full size watermelon but also two Rocky Ford cantaloupe. I parted out the watermelon into three big containers and one of them is still unopened in the fridge. Thinking of juicing it and maybe freezing the juice. I've eaten one-half of one melon.
I obtained all the ingredients to make smoked salmon pinwheel wraps. Waiting for an opportunity to share them with some family or group. It's odd that I don't have a potluck happening on my calendar. Hopefully, one will pop up soon. What is on your end-of-summer bucket list?
