Brokies in Memoriam
« on: Yesterday at 07:30:17 pm »
Hello BetterMost members.

I found out today that a few months ago a Brokie passed away, and I wasn't sure of where to post about it.  In the past threads were made for the member specifically, but with the forums slowing down, that doesn't seem right.

So I'm copying here a list that we have on Ultimate Brokeback of Brokies we've lost.

If you see anyone missing, please feel free to add them here.  And if you feel that this topic is not a good idea for the forum, please feel free to delete it.

What prompted this post was that while going through some Facebook pages, I found out that Karen (Karen1129/Peanut) passed away back in March of this year.   She had developed dementia and collapsed.  She was taken to the ER, but they were not able to revive her.

I've added her to the list below.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Chuck, I think this is a very good idea. Though, I wish it weren't needed. Brokies should live forever, like Ennis and Jack do in our hearts. I guess they will live forever on this page.

We have a different thread for Heath, and the only person I can think of that doesn't seem to be here is
David in Indy.

Very sad.

I have no personal memories to share, I didn't know her.

Chuck, why is the name Claude connected with Andy's name?
I've never seen that name in connection with him.

He added that name to his username on UBF a while ago, I don't recall him giving a reason for it.

Thanks Lee!  I've edited my first post to add David, and added him over on UBF as well.

Good comprehensive list. I don't remember a lot of those people but the ones I remember I miss. And I'm not sure I even knew about Berit.

We have a similar list for employees at the New Orleans Times-Picayune, a newspaper where I worked in the 1990s. I once copied the list and put all the names of people I knew in red. There were a lot, especially because I worked there 30 years ago and a lot of my coworkers were older.
