Well that was the reason I went downtown - also picked up a few things that are only available in the gay village + I had lunch at my favourite greek place.

Hey Jess! Yeah, they did evacuate the Mall briefly, but the concert and fireworks went on as scheduled. I stayed home and watched them on TV (the ones in NYC were better), but I could hear the DC fireworks going off.

Did you get a chance to look at the Alberta location shots?

I have seen some...not all! Oh I want to go!! I have always thought Canada in that area is so beautiful...the idea of riding a horse up there to those places...wading in that stream.

I tell you, I have never been real excited about any of the get togethers but this one I am gonna be following...

we didn't go to our little fireworks display either...wasn't worth fighting the traffic
