Oh well.....back to work!

Oh, and the kids are back to school here too.  Traffic will be a bit crazier today than it has been the past 3 months.  Higher volume of cars on the road, and school buses as well.

Happy Hump Day!


Got two extra workouts yesterday.

A client needed something done at the branch, so at 10am I walked down to the branch and back.  It was 2 miles.

Then at lunch, as I was coming back to the office with my salad, my friend Rosie and I spotted a guy with a little dog.  The dog wasn't his....he found it in the parking lot, it had gotten out of one of the cars.

While someone went to search for the owner, Rosie, the guy and  watched the dog.

Suddenly the dog sprints off, and runs across the busy parking lot.  About 5 people took off after him.  This parking lot is on a very very busy street, where traffic flies by at 45 miles an hour.

He ran into the street, but we were able to stop traffic so that he didn't get hit.  Before we could catch him, he ran down the road about half mile.  We were in hot pursuit.  To our horror, he ran towards the on ramp to highway 24, but thankfully didn't take the ramp.

By now his owner caught up to us (on foot), and a police car had joined in the search.

We got across the street to see an SUV pulled over.  The driver had gotten out, and was now chasing the dog as well.  Cujo (yes a little grey poodle named Cujo) had run up a side street, and into a construction area.

However, this area was fenced in, and two of us ran in after him, while someone slammed the gate shut after us.

After a total chase time of about 20 minutes, Cujo and his owner were reunited.

 ::)

I got back to the bank for lunch, and was dripping in sweat, my t-shirt stuck to my body.

I spent the rest of the day feeling gross.

On a more personal note, my computer at home appears to have caught some sort of virus.  I've spent the morning doin a scan, and I'm not amused.

Hoping the scan works and the computer is clean after this.
