Last of the Cisco Kid and Pancho movies; this one sounds tired and dull.

Is it just me or were the 40s so much better than the 50s cinematically?
This one looks like a winner, a Noir with carnies!

James Mason called this his best performance of his career, and his favourite Carol Reed film. It is going to be on TCM TONIGHT (Wed Nov 28) at 8 pm EST.

I agree, I think the 40s had better movies than the 50s, but the 50s did have a few great ones! I get the feeling you could see the effect that TV had on the movie industry in the fifties.

Well, it seems nobody wants to take a "P" and I have to go out for while so I'll probably miss my "Q"!  Which means I'd have to Sulk again!  Anyway, just to get it out of my system, this is what I would have played, another Clouzot classic (in honour of Leslie)QUAI DES ORFèVRES:

Speaking of "in honor of Leslie..."

I went to Videoport today to return the DVD my daughter left in the machine (!). While I was there, I rented "The Sorcerer" (remake of "Wages of Fear"). Turns out that Wednesday you get a free foreign movie rental with any regular movie rental, so I scooped up "Les Diaboliques." I also asked about "That Man From Rio," which they don't have, but he is going to try to get it. As the owner said, "We should have that one in stock."

I'll take your movie as the Q for this round, oilgun. Next up, P, followed by R.

Leslie
